Research

The UF/IFAS Center for Agricultural and Natural Resource Law conducts research exploring the history and application of Florida's agricultural laws.  Our research provides timely and appropriate infromation for framing and putting into action environmentally sound, socially acceptable and economically feasible agricultural practices in production of food and fiber.

The Center combines education in law and science to prepare students and agriculturists with timely and appropriate information for framing and putting into action environmentally sound, socially acceptable and economically feasible agricultural practices in the production of food and fiber.

In the 21st century, we will be looking at new challenges for Florida agriculture including issues such as:

  • water supply
  • biotechnology
  • environmental impacts and audits
  • food safety
  • farm labor
  • growth management
  • agricultural risk management
  • agricultural chemicals
