Applying to Our Graduate Program

  • Go to the online Graduate Student Application site
  • Submit THREE recommendation letter requests and statement of purpose online. Please do not send paper copies of any materials submitted online. Allow 3-4 weeks for processing. (International applicants note that ALL letters of recommendation must be in English)
  • Send one set of official transcripts (if you are NOT currently attending UF) and test scores to:

  • Attach a copy of your Bachelor’s and Master’s transcripts to your online application for department use. These are not official transcripts and will not be used for review by the Admissions Office.

Application and Materials Deadlines

    • MS thesis and PhD (admits fall term only) - February 1
    • Master of Agribusiness (MAB) (admits Summer B term only) - *May 1
    • Master of Science with Concentration in Agribusiness (MSAB) (admits fall term only) - *May 1

*Students are STRONGLY encouraged to apply to the MAB and MSAB programs earlier than May 1st so that they have time to arrange to take prerequisites over Summer term if necessary. Waiting to apply until May 1st may inhibit students ability to register for prereqs at UF or other institutions. The Food and Resource Economics Department does not make exceptions to prerequisite requirements and will not allow students to begin their graduate program without successfully passing the prerequisites with a minimum "B" grade.
