Transfer Student Guide
Anyone interested in transferring into the Food and Resource Economics program at the University of Florida must complete the following courses prior to enrollment with grades of “C” or better:
STA2023 – Intro to Statistics
ECO2013 – Principles of Macroeconomics
ACG2021 – Intro to Financial Accounting
MAC2233 – Survey of Calculus
It is acceptable for these courses to be completed after you have submitted your admissions application, but they must be completed before you enroll at UF. For example, if you are applying for the fall term and submit your application by March, it is acceptable for you to complete these courses by the end of the summer term.
Also, it is recommended that you complete Intro to Managerial Accounting (ACG2071), as this will count toward your major requirements. In addition, you may want to complete Technical Writing (ENC2210) and science coursework in chemistry or biology (including a lab), as these are college requirements and must be completed prior to graduation. Please note that the completion of these courses is not required for admission into the program, but will be required to graduate with a degree in Food and Resource Economics.
