Julia is in her final year as a graduate student in the Economics Department at UF. She came to the University of Florida in 2020 and joined the Economic Impact Analysis Program team in 2021 as a student assistant. She will graduate with a Master of Arts in Economics in May 2024. She has completed an economist internship with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the summer of 2022 and another economist internship with the U.S. Department of Transportation in the summer of 2023. Her research interests include animal systems, food safety, conserving natural resources, plant health, and climate change mitigation. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a career with the federal government performing economic data analysis and research. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family, friends, and labradoodle.
