Bixuan Yang, Ph.D

Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr. Bixuan Yang is a post-doctoral researcher in the Food and Resource Economics Department at the University of Florida. She received a B.S. in Finance from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an M.A. in Applied Economics from Georgetown University. At the University of Florida, she obtained her Ph.D. in Food and Resource Economics, in addition to an M.S. in Statistics.

Dr. Yang’s research interests lie in the areas of international trade, agricultural and food policy, fishery economics, and food and nutrition security. She focuses on studying changes in agricultural products trade in a rapidly changing global trade environment and evaluating their effects on socio-economic and ecological outcomes. Dr. Yang is particularly interested in studying fish and fishery products, examining their export, processing, and re-export patterns in Chinese and global markets.
