Youngho (Young) Kim 

Assistant Professor

Youngho (Young) Kim is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Environmental Economics at the University of Oxford.  He will join the Food and Resource Economics Department at the University of Florida as an Assistant Professor of Environmental and Resource Economics in August 2025. 

His research focuses on designing and evaluating economic policies to address market failures in the provision of environmental services, with an emphasis on payment for ecosystem services (PES) programs, nature-based climate solutions, and emissions trading markets. 

He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Maryland in 2024 and a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 2017.
