FRE faculty apply methodologies such as ecosystem service valuation, cost-benefit analysis of policy interventions, bioeconomic modeling, and the use of experimental methods and behavioral nudges to induce conservation behaviors. These methods are applied to a range of environmental and natural resource topics including marine conservation, water conservation and water quality management, and management of agri-environmental systems and other terrestrial ecosystems.
