Research Areas

Agricultural Marketing, Management, and Finance (Agribusiness)

Diverse research projects in this area aim to improve, develop and expand markets for food and agricultural products, increase marketing efficiency, improve product quality, and provide greater variety in products and services that benefit consumers as well as producers. Other projects focus on finance, risk management, and human resource management topics that impact food and agricultural firms and consumers.

Three research labs – the Florida Agricultural Market Research Center (FAMRC), the Economic Experiment Lab (EEL), and the Consumer Behavior and Insights lab (CBI) – combine to use cutting edge technology and research methods to foster growth for agricultural and agribusiness firms.
