How do different factors, such as poverty, population, technology, resources, trade and the environment affect humankind’s effort to develop regional and county economies? What role do agriculture, resource management, and international assistance programs play in the process of economic development, especially in countries where problems of hunger, demographic pressure and poverty are pervasive? FRED faculty and students are involved in answering various questions about international trade patterns and trends, and the economics of development process.
